In March, April and May I took on my biggest project thus far. I caught every dancer in the studio for multiple weeks in candid. It was a pleasure and a honor to get to do this. I thank all the dancers and parents for their allowing me this privilege. I literally watched and documented the dancers’ skills grow through the weeks and thousands of pictures. Here is just a tiny peek at just a fraction of the pictures.
Last spring I “shot” some commercial work for Allonge Dance Academy and Pilates Studio. My work has appeared in last six months in some local publications. It is a great studio right in the heart of our downtown. If you want to dance there are classes for ages 18 months through adult. Want a rock solid core that helps support your body? Get yourself into some Pilates sessions. Visit https://www.facebook.com/allongedance for information and specials!
It was a rainy chilly walk day for the March of Dimes annual event. Along with many rain drops hitting walkers some of the pictures got “hit” too. The walk was a success! Along with Shelby Bazemore Photography I volunteered again this year to help photograph the event. Enjoy the slide show below the collage.
We are so proud of our girls and the awareness they have brought over the years to the mission of March of Dimes. The March of Dimes has a special place in our family. Its research funding developed a substance called surfactant which helped our 23 weeker (C1) have a chance to survive. Its funded research also was the first to isolate a club foot gene which will one day possibly help those like our youngest (C2). Thanks to all those who volunteer, fundraise, donate and walk to support this wonderful organization. If you or your group wants copies please contact me 🙂

She is in the only weeks left till graduation countdown. A few quick shots downtown turned into an hour and on an unusually hot spring evening she still looked pretty. We had cheers from several passing folks. Soon graduate, parents, siblings, grandparents, family and friends will be cheering!
It was a wonderful Sunday evening to photograph the children of a wonderful family. The K family has been a dear part of my family’s life for years now. I have watched the K kiddos grow over the years and it was a privilege to capture this tiny brief moment in time.
Thank you again K family!!
